It is about freaking time somebody said the same thing I have been saying for years, and as an added bonus they got published for doing it. Kay Hymowitz's article "Child-Man in the Promised Land" argues that the current situation of men is not to be blamed on "traditional" maleness like the feminists want you to think, but by the debasing of maleness. More and more men are pushing back life events like marriage, financial independence, and raising a family, for one night stands and beer binges.
Our western society, in an attempt to control the emotions of men, throw sex drugs and violence at us in thousands of different forms and prices so that the young and old, rich and poor can partake.
So let's review, if you give an 18 year old boy sex and violence in a civilized manner, why would he even consider trying to be a peaceful, law-abiding, woman respecting person?
Of course, I'm not arguing against drugs, sex, or violent video games, because I love them all. But I also yearn for a simpler time, in which you got paid for the honest work you did, and if somebody cheated, you shot or hung him, or sometimes both.
